Central Asia – EU Summit at Silk Road Samarkand

The first Central Asia – EU Summit has commenced at the unique Silk Road Samarkand complex, marking a significant step in fostering dialogue between the regions. The complex’s Congress Center is hosting the leaders of Central Asia and top EU representatives, including the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the European Council, António Costa, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, as well as the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Held under the motto "Investing in the Future", the summit addresses key issues of economic cooperation, investment, and sustainable development. The leaders will participate in the plenary session of the Samarkand International Climate Forum, starting on April 4, alongside representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank.

Silk Road Samarkand has become a symbol of a new level of international cooperation.
Hosting participants in the complex’s hotels fosters an atmosphere of trust, strengthening diplomatic and business ties. The summit reaffirms the complex’s status as a modern hub for global dialogue, uniting tradition and innovation.
