From October 30 to November 13, 2025, the Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex will become the venue for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference — one of the most significant international events in the fields of culture, science, and education.
This event holds historical importance: for the first time in almost 40 years, the UNESCO session will take place outside its headquarters in Paris, and Samarkand has been honored to serve as the host city.
As one of the world’s oldest cultural centers, Samarkand will once again reaffirm its role as a city that unites the traditions of the past and the innovations of the future.
