The spring holiday Navruz will be celebrated in the historical and ethnographic park “Eternal City” of the touristic complex “Silk Road Samarkand”. This holiday is the Eastern New Year and is grandly celebrated in the “Eternal City” for the second year in a row.
This year, many interesting events await festival participants. Every visitor will get a chance to try sumalak, which is an integral part of the Navruz celebration, as well as delicious pilaf prepared by our chefs.
Young visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the kite festival and win prizes. On the stage of the Amphitheater there will be a concert with the participation of famous singers of Samarkand, a performance by a folklore and dance group, a “Dragons Show”, a fashion show from art designer Hamida Inoyatova and many other interesting performances. One of the main events of Navruz this year will be the amazing Navruz-Regata boat parade.
The kite festival will be held from March 19 to 24. On these dates, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the cooking process of sumalak. On March 20, 22 and 23, there will be a light show and background music in the evening on the stage of Amphitheater.
